“Island Resort Getaway” just begs for a bikini, shorts, and t-shirt. But if this is all you wear when visiting a luxury resort, you will quickly feel extremely uncomfortable.
This does not make packing for an opulent island vacation any more challenging. Actually, you should see it as a wonderful opportunity to get out all of those lovely summer outfits you haven’t worn in a long time. If you just bring a few lovely clothes, you can practically never dress incorrectly.
Since dresses won’t be worn every day, the essentials to always carry are:
- Beautiful swimwear
- Shorts that look good on you
- A couple of good t-shirts
- At least one dress per day
- One pair of pretty slides
- One pair of heels
The ideal criteria for packing outfits for a luxurious Island Resort Getaway vacation are as follows:
- Clothes that can be folded down to a tiny size
- parts that are not creased
- Select airy, thin textiles.
- Longer lengths tend to look more refined and blend in flawlessly with the opulent surroundings of an island resort.
Stay away from:
- This is the exact occasion when you should dare to wear pricey dresses that are a tad see-through! It doesn’t matter if people see your panties—you can always act like it’s a bikini—smile!

How to Dress Right for a Luxury Island Resort Getaway
This post features the four dresses I brought and wore on my most recent two-night, three-day trip to a luxurious Island Resort Getaway.
The first piece of advice is to always dress warmly enough for the aircraft ride there, regardless of how hot the destination may be.
I also make it a practice to wear the same clothes home from vacation in order to conserve space.
Dress 1:
For the trip, this gorgeous green maxi dress and pink moccasins were my go-to outfit.
There is a variety of them available online here, and the dress is made of a beautiful thick cotton.
You can get the tassel-adorned pink moccasins here, on the internet.
As an alternative, you might wear this dress with green or green-trimmed moccasins with a Leo design.
Dress 2:
I wore the second dress that evening to the gourmet meal. a hint of airy flowers. Even after two years, this outfit remains a favourite of mine.
This year, there is a dress that is comparable and is now for sale, however for some reason, the lining of the dress ends at the bottom. This is unfortunate, in my opinion, and I would suggest having the lining trimmed.
Dress 3:
My summer vacation bag will always include a lovely shoe string strap outfit.
Even though this dress feels satiny, I adore that it’s simple to wash in the home washing machine.
Although it is from last year, you can still get it online this year in several colours here.
Dress 4:
My last and fourth dress that I brought with me was a basic cotton one that worked well for exploring the island.
Seen here at Livingdreams Mallorca, the finest source of outdoor furniture for all weather, they specialise in made-to-measure pieces!
You may purchase my hat here as well. Naturally, not this one, since it is currently waiting for its next trip with me here in Zurich.
