Long has a lot of film projects going on in the second half of 2022. She was featured in the Netflix original movie “Look Both Ways” in August with Lili Reinhart, Danny Ramirez, and David Corenswet.

After finishing that assignment, Long reconnected with her co-stars from “The Best Man” for the much-awaited “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” TV series, which made its premiere on Peacock on December 22. Since the 1999 movie in which Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, and Harold Perrineau also starred, Long, has been a part of the “The Best Man” franchise. These actors all returned for the TV series that would wrap up the saga.

Long and Kenya Barris, who previously collaborated on his 2020 Netflix series “#BlackAF,” are back again for “You People.”

Barris is the director of the 2023 romantic comedy “You People.” In the movie, a young couple and their families strive to bridge gaps caused by cultural differences, social expectations, and other factors. The movie’s producers were Jonah Hill, Kevin Misher, and Barris. Along with Hill, the project also features Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, and Nia Long. On January 27, the movie will be viewable on Netflix.
