No evening demonstrates Chanel’s somewhat enviable ability to bring out the pinnacle combination of cool, elegant, and A-listers like the annual Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner. The event, now in its 16th year, was held at Balthazar in SoHo once more with the goal of celebrating the artists who have provided unique artwork to the festival’s award-winning filmmakers, as well as to indulge the crowd with martinis, raw bar, and steak frites.
The list of attendees included Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, Tracee Ellis Ross, Oscar Isaac, Elvira Lind, Greta Lee, Sofia Coppola, Thomas Mars, Julianna Margulies, Katie Holmes, Iman, Camila Morrone, Dianna Agron, Nina Dobrev, Rachel Brosnahan, Suki Waterhouse, Tommy Dorfman, Zoey Deutch, Lizzy Caplan, Ayo Edebiri, Stephanie Hsu
On Monday night, the weather wasn’t the best for an outside step and repeat (it was raining), so once inside Balthazar, visitors could finally unwind. Tracee Ellis Ross worked the room, chatting with Tommy Dorfman in the middle of the restaurant, Sofia Coppola caught up with Zac Posen, and stylists Kate Young and Vanessa Traina held court by the edge of the bar. Bethann Hardison, who this week is also celebrating her documentary “Invisible Beauty” at Tribeca (the film originally premiered at Sundance), grabbed Suki Waterhouse for a photo op.
“Oh, you’re very attractive! I adore you, Havana Rose Liu,” stylist Beverly Nguyen stated.
Ayo Edebiri made a reserved approach, offering cameras a modest grin before moving over to Jane Rosenthal for a chat and eventually embracing Liu in a dancing embrace. In the next months, the two switched work schedules like any respectable upcoming celebrity would.

While his girlfriend Tiffany Chen engaged in conversation while wearing sunglasses, he was taken back to his normal seat in the restaurant’s back.

Just as everyone in the room was making their way to their seats for the Balthazar salad and the main dish, a passing visitor congratulated Beetz on her appearance.
